Kelsey's Room

My niece just turned 8 and is getting her own room. They picked out some really cute teal/green/aqua polka dot bedding at target and we have planned the room around that. They did a great job painting and my sister bought these cute letters for her name that she wanted me to cutsie up. I didn't get a picture of the final project so I will take some tomorrow when I go over, but I did talk her into redoing this memo board we found at Hobby Lobby. It had pink ribbon and pink buttons and I just tore that all off and made it aqua and teal with these cute green polka dot buttons. I love it.

Katie's Room

I finished this memo board a few months ago and am just now posting it. I love this thing, now I just need to make a chunky frame to go around it. No worries that my child is 20 months old and I am still working on her room. ha ha

Homeade Stools

After a year of no posts on my wonderful blog o' crafts... I am finally posting my projects. I have done a lot but will start off posting one per week (which will give me time to catch up on the crafting side of things!!!)
We made these stools a few years back as replicas of a stool my husband and his siblings grew up using. Theirs was put together using REAL pound down type nails and a stenciled saying... ours was made with a nail gun and vinyl... the end result is BEAUTIFUL. We actually have three stools in our home... one for each bathroom. This year we made these for our friends and my sister (who has been begging for one ever since we made them for Adams' fam 4 years ago) She had just redone her bathroom so she wanted hers brown... so we stained two of them. I am LOVING the result. So fun. FYI: Husband built the stools and I painted and finished them.

Car Wall Art

My son's room is all about TRANSPORTATION!! He loves anything that GOES. I found these cute paintings at TARGET, but could not afford their pricey-ness (they wanted 25 buckaroos for ONE... ya RIGHT), so I just made some myself. All in all I spent around $25 on both and have plans for more which won't cost me a thing because I have leftover material!!!
I have NEVER attempted to paint something so this was a bit of a learning experience. I used spunge brushes for most of it and the cars are stencils. Next time I will use some paint brushes and I am sure I will get a more precise look.
Soon I will take a picture of my sons FINISHED room so you can all see it and admire my craftiness.

Linking up to a couple of parties today!!!
